Andy Cutting

Andy Cutting is one of the world's definitive diatonic button accordion players, whose style inspires musicians all over Europe.

He came to prominence with the innovative band Blowzabella, formed a highly influential partnership with singer/fiddler/guitarist Chris Wood and was a member of Welsh band Fernhill.

Andy's influences include Quebecois music and the English tradition of song and dance. In constant demand as a session player with the likes of June Tabor and Tanteeka, Andy divides his time between The Kate Rusby Band, the duo with Chris Wood, the John McCusker Band and the trio 1651 with Mark Emerson and Tim Harries. Andy's first solo record will be released in 2009.
