A highly original virtuoso guitarist, producer and composer, Ian Carr's syncopated style is an inspiration to aspiring accompanists and keeps him in demand as a session musician and performer.

Ian plays and writes in the highly acclaimed bands Swåp, Namo, and Timber and also tours with multi instrumentalist John McCusker and singers Kate Rusby, Eddi Reader and Kris Drever. His tunes have been covered by world renowned musicians from Irish accordian player Sharon Shannon to bluegrass fiddler Darol Anger. He's also produced critically acclaimed albums for Scottish fiddle player/singer Eilidh Shaw and Fine Friday.
